Seersucker is characterized as a weave of alternating flat and raised stripes, resulting in a puckered texture and appearance that promotes air circulation. It became synonymous with an Ivy League style and elitist country club attire. I wanted to redefine all of this by utilizing it in a sportswear silhouette that evokes more attitude and intrigue. Blending military details of a M-65 field jacket, the preppy seersucker material and nods of menswear tailoring resulted in a style fit for the street or the country club.
